About Zamaya Tulum

Zamaya Fitness Resort and Residences sits on the western side of Tulum, about ten minutes from Tulum International Airport, two minutes from the Centro Tulum shopping plaza and ten minutes by car from the beach. It was designed by the Mexican architect Jesus Acosta of Jaque Studio, and the villas are built in polished concrete, local wood and chukum, the regional lime plaster.

The villa is a three bedroom house of 2,800 sq ft, or 260 square metres, with the living, dining and kitchen in one room behind pocket doors that open onto a terrace, a garden and a private pool. The plan is set so that no villa looks directly into another, and the house is ventilated across rather than cooled through. A turnkey delivery option with a full furnishing package is available.

What makes Zamaya different is what it is attached to. The resort runs a full fitness complex covering CrossFit, HIIT, Olympic lifting, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu, boxing, Pilates, yoga and spinning, with a recovery spa of ice baths, sauna, jacuzzi, a sensory deprivation tank and massage rooms. There is a nutrition programme run by chefs and nutritionists, a cafe and co working space, no amplified sound after 10pm, and the grounds are an alcohol free zone. Access is gated and staffed around the clock, each villa has its own parking, there is a dedicated fibre line, solar panels can be fitted, and it is pet friendly.
