The community

The resort itself runs to 717 acres between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, roughly halfway along the Riviera Maya and about 80 kilometers south of Cancun airport. It is gated and staffed around the clock, built around a golf course, and the Caribbean is a few minutes east.

The golf course is the spine of the place and it is the reason most owners are here. Around it sit tennis and paddle courts, pools, a clubhouse, restaurants and a beach club run for residents, with a supermarket and pharmacy inside the gates. Roads are paved and lit, and the perimeter is staffed day and night.

Who it suits

This is a buyer who wants a golf and beach base with no maintenance to manage, in the newest stock the community has. The resort is fully built out and running, so the services are already in place rather than promised.

Getting there

Bahía Príncipe sits on the inland side at Akumal, about 25 minutes from Tulum and 35 from Playa del Carmen, with Cancun airport roughly an hour and a quarter north. Akumal bay, the turtles and the reef are the nearest coast.
