Flamingos

Flamingos is a gated enclave of fewer than twenty houses on the beach at kilometre 8 of the Hotel Zone, on the bay side of Punta Cancún where the water is calm and the sand is white. Security runs around the clock and the neighbourhood is residential rather than hotel, which is rare on this coast.

The Hotel Zone

The Cancún Hotel Zone runs along the barrier island between the Caribbean and the Nichupté lagoon, with the airport twenty minutes away and the beach clubs, marinas, golf, shopping and restaurants of the city along the boulevard. The residential communities on the lagoon side are gated, quiet and a few minutes from the beach, and they have long been where Cancún families live rather than where tourists stay, which keeps them in demand for owners and for long term tenants alike.
