The atelier

Across the lawn stands the atelier, 215 square metres of white, top lit studio with rolling racks and work tables, built for painting at scale and equally suited to a gallery, a yoga hall or a workshop. A 28 square metre pool house sits by the water, and there are further outbuildings and small rooms at the back of the site that the seller has not yet measured, so the built figure is a floor rather than a ceiling.

The pool

The pool is 146 square metres, a long rectangle of pale plaster running from the house across the lawn to a timber deck, lit at night, with black loungers on the grass and mature trees around the boundary.

Location

The property sits on the Cobá road at kilometre marker 050, a few minutes from Gran Cenote and about ten from Tulum town, on the side of Tulum where the land is still quiet and the plots are large. The beach road is fifteen minutes away and Tulum airport about thirty.
