The penthouse

What separates it from the two bedrooms below is the lake view, which the price list flags on only four units in the whole building, and all four are at penthouse level.

Yutori

Yutori takes its name from the Japanese ゆとり, which means spaciousness, room to breathe, the luxury of time. Twenty apartments across two towers in Bacalar, built around that idea rather than around a square metre count. There is daily wellness programming, yoga, Pilates and movement classes, an activities hub running kayaks, paddleboards, sailboats and private catamaran dinners on the lagoon, and a rooftop pool looking over the water.

How it is finished

The specification is unusually explicit for a scheme this size. Buying it

A unit is reserved with 100,000 pesos and the reservation holds for fifteen days. Payment runs on one of three schedules, 30/60/10, 50/40/10 or 70/20/10, and the heavier the deposit the larger the discount, up to five per cent. The figure below is the full list price before any of that, so it is the most you would pay. The developer prices in pesos and the peso figure governs the contract.
